The fee is set by what you feed in, not by what comes back. Zenny only — the pot never asks for ore. A row you can't pay for says so instead of taking the charms.

Every Brachydios below the Raging one is the same sprite wearing an ore's colours. Which ones can show up depends on your rank, matching the ranks that ore can actually be mined at in the game.
An unofficial, non-commercial fan toy: grind a Brachydios for talismans, then feed three of a rarity into the Melding Pot to get one of the next rarity up. The charms it rolls are real — every skill and point value comes from the game's own charm tables, so nothing it produces is something MHGU couldn't give you.

Charm tables, ore names, prices and mining ranks: derived from Kiranico and the community MHGU database.
English item, skill and equipment names: MHGUDB-iOS (MIT) & gatheringhallstudios community database. The game files store names in Japanese only, so the English naming throughout this tool comes from their work.

Monster and ore icons: Monster Hunter Wiki (Fandom) — licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0; adaptations shared under the same licence. The ore-coloured Brachydios variants are CSS recolours of those two icons — the base portrait at Low and High rank, the Raging one at G — and are shared under that same licence.
